Question by : Can i purchase an older smartphone for verizon, activate it, and only pay 10 bucks a month?
I heard that on November 14th 2007 Verizon was requiring data plans for smartphones. I have also heard that if you purchase a smartphone made before this date you could activate it and only pay the 9.99 a month. (Yes i am aware few smartphones existed back then.) Some examples would be the Palm Centro and the Motorola Q9c. I am on a family plan if that matters.

Best answer:

Answer by super fast jellyfish
Honestly, that’s probably not even worth it. Palm centro….eh…
Besides you would need to unlock it, and get a Verizon plan, which means you would pay the full thirty dollars anyway.
If you unlocked your phone before 2007 you didn’t have to pay.

Answer by Nesquick Bunny
Dude I have no idea, people are sheep tools. It’s a buzzword like “HD.” There is NO SUCH THING as “HD.” It’s a marketing buzzword. PC monitors already far exceed 1920×1080. What would you call them? Ultra Definition? Hyper Definition? You people are soccer mom sheep repeating words companies say to sell you products.

Sorry, rant. Anyways yeah, my cell phone has android on it but I refuse to call it a “smart phone.” It’s just my phone people.

Question by : How can I connect the 3.5mm output on my smartphone to a phone line input?
I want to be able to listen to music from my smartphone on a wireless headset at work. The headset is designed for use with a telephone, and requires a typical phone line input (not sure what these plugs are called). I have checked radio shack and other locations for a cable or combination of cables that would accomplish this, but have not had any luck. Please help!! Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by richard
A ‘normal’ telephone plug is called a RJ11 connector. I do not believe there are RJ11 to 3.5 mm jack adaptors.

What is the technical difference between a SmartPhone and a PDA?Is prescence of an OS in the phone an difference?
How to recognize a phone as an PDA or SmartPhone given a description of its features?

Best answer:

Answer by Big Daddy
From my answer yesterday…

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

Smartphone = Phone, Keyboard, No Screen input such as touch and Stylus, and No Pocket Office Applications such as Word, Excel, etc…( you can view them, but not create or edit them).

PDA with Phone Function/Pocket PC Phone = Phone, Sometimes with a Keyboard, and Screen input, and you have Pocket Office Applications for creation, editiing, and viewing).

PDA pretty much is a full blown Pocket PC without the phone.

Good luck…
